My ancestors hail from Tokelau, Samoa, Taiwan and Japan but I call Aotearoa home and want to acknowledge Tangata whenua of this land whom as a result my ancestors dreams of a better life would not be possible.  As a proud daughter of Porirua this place has housed me, taught me, flourished me and shaped me.
I am māmā to three beautiful tamariki without whom my need to make these stories to share whakapapa, pūrākau and mātauranga would not be there.
A nurse by trade with over a decade of experience, I am proud to say I am a co founder of Treibl Creative alongside my husband. My passion is people! So being able to utilise my creative skills to help our people to tell our stories is something that brings me joy. I believe it is time for us to flourish, for our stories to be told by us and for us and without the prejudice that colonisation and the narratives attached to those ideologies say we are. For far to long we have learnt about ourselves from the perspective that wasn't our own, despite knowing the stories of our ancestors. Its time to rewrite our stories, in our own words. To stand in our truth, our power and self determination. Our ancestors were great storytellers, our civilisations relied heavily on this skill to preserve our cultures, languages and way of life. We at Treibl Creative want to weave this ancient skill with the new ones of technology to preserve them for future generations and keep the links from tupuna to mokopuna strong.

Pou Whakahaere

Tēnā koutou katoa,

Ko Ngāti Toa Rangatira, Ngāti Porou, Ngāti Koata, Te Ātiawa, Ngāti Tama, Ngāti Mutunga, Ngāi Tahu me Ngāti Kahungunu ki Wairarapa ōku iwi.

"As the founder alongside my wife to lead a creative practice grounded in whānau and purpose. Together, we’ve built a kaupapa-led media business that reflects our shared values, creative paths, and long-term vision. I’m a creative producer, visual storyteller, and multi-disciplinary artist, with over two decades of experience across music, film, design, and kaupapa Māori content. Our storytelling is driven by wairua, identity, and impact.

My creative path started young. A camera gifted by my grandmother sparked an early passion for filmmaking — capturing skate clips and surf missions as a teen. That love for visuals grew into a clothing label I launched at 17, where I began exploring design, branding, and building something from the ground up. It was the first time I realised creativity could be a vehicle for both expression and entrepreneurship."

Since then, I’ve led bands, produced music, designed graphics, and created kaupapa-driven content for a wide range of organisations and movements. I’ve studied film, multimedia, and animation straight out of school in the 90s but most of what I’ve learned has come through doing the mahi — figuring things out as I go, adapting, and building my skillset one challenge at a time.

I’ve often had to carry projects solo — filming, editing, producing, and even learning new instruments when the moment called for it. That experience taught me how to lead with creativity, resilience, and a deep sense of responsibility to the kaupapa. It also taught me the importance of teamwork — and the need to build a future where we don’t have to do everything alone.

TreiblCreative was born from that vision. Inspired by both my whakapapa and my Austrian grandfather — whose name we carry — our kaupapa is about honouring legacy while carving new paths forward. We specialise in video production, music and motion content, and Indigenous storytelling that uplifts voices, celebrates identity, and holds space for truth.”

Every project we take on is treated like taonga — approached with care, integrity, and intention. We believe storytelling has the power to heal, to activate, and to shift perspective. And we know that the stories we tell today will shape the world our tamariki and mokopuna inherit.

I’m passionate about building platforms that uplift voices from all walks of life — weaving culture, creativity, and technology to share meaningful stories. Together with my wife, we’re growing a purpose-led business grounded in whānau values, wairua, and long-term impact. We’re not here to follow trends — we’re here to build legacy that includes everyone.

I’m still learning, still evolving, and still deeply committed to the journey.
